I was a burnt-out creator who almost quit Threads. I'm now a business owner who believes daily sales is part of who I am. Here's what actually shifted — and why it started with a module most people skip.
I need to be honest with you about where I was before April 22.
I'd been on Threads since 2023. I had 13 years of affiliate marketing behind me. I knew how online business worked — or thought I did. And for the last 7 months of that time, my follower count sat between 600 and 660. Maybe one or two new follows in a week. Nothing compounding. Nothing building. No traction, no direction, no sense that anything I was doing was actually working.
Things happened in my personal life during that period that pulled my focus away for a while. When I came back, I thought I'd give it one more crack. But the honest truth is: I didn't feel like doing it anymore. I was exhausted. Not from the work — from the futility of it. Showing up consistently and getting nothing back is its own kind of burnout.
I was posting like a creator. Building like a creator. Thinking like a creator. And the whole time, the thing I actually wanted — daily sales, real income, a business that moved — was sitting on the other side of an identity I hadn't given myself permission to step into yet.
Post content. Build an audience. Hope it converts eventually. Don't push too hard. Don't be salesy. Stay in your lane and create. Meanwhile nothing moves and nothing sells.
Daily sales is not aggressive. It is normal. If you have something valuable, sharing it is an obligation — not an option. You are a CEO. You are worthy of daily income.
That shift sounds simple. It is not simple. It is the difference between 7 months of stagnation and a completely different relationship with why you show up online every day.
I took the Threads Code course by Kira Goldberg on April 22. And like most people who buy a course, I almost skipped the first module. It was labelled mindset. And if you've been in this space for any amount of time, you've been conditioned to treat mindset content as the warm-up before the real stuff starts.
Don't skip it. The first module is not the warm-up. It is the earthquake.
Kira is very deliberate about this. She gives you real clarity around the identity shift — not motivational language, not "believe in yourself" energy. Actual clarity. The difference between what a creator does and what a business owner does. The difference between hoping for sales and normalising daily sales as part of who you are.
Posts content. Waits. Avoids selling. Calls it "providing value."
Sells daily. Shares with conviction. Knows that value shared is an obligation.
The faith angle landed hard for me personally. I operate faith first. And Kira names it — that belief, that sense that if you have something genuinely valuable it is your obligation to share it, not your option. That reframe hit differently when I heard it framed that way. It removed the guilt I'd been carrying around selling.
If you have something valuable, sharing it is not optional. It is an obligation. The years I spent softening my offers were years I spent withholding something that could have helped people.
After you complete module one, Kira specifically directs you to jump to module six before continuing the sequence. Don't ignore this. Module six gives you the full structural understanding of why the mindset shift in module one is the load-bearing wall of everything else. Do module one. Go to module six. Then come back and complete the rest in order. That sequence is deliberate.
Here's the honest order of events. Because context matters when someone is deciding whether to invest in something.
The identity shift. Creator to business owner. Module one cracked open 7 months of stagnation in a single sitting. Module six locked in why it works. This is where everything started.
The new identity needed a daily executable system. The 5-5-5. The Visibility Pyramid. Two blocks, 45 minutes, conversations first. Cody's guide became the how that fits inside the who Kira's course rebuilt.
New energy. New identity. 90 days of consistent execution, small chunks, staying in the lane. Not the burnt-out creator anymore. A business owner who believes daily sales is achievable and is no longer afraid to say so.
The Threads Code came first. Without it, Cody's system would have been tactics applied to the wrong identity. The mindset shift is what made the structure land. You can have the best system in the world and it won't move if the person running it still thinks of themselves as a creator who shouldn't sell too hard.
I want Kira to have buyers who actually do the work and get results — not people who buy it, skip the mindset module, wonder why nothing changed, and ask for a refund. So let me be specific about who this is actually for.
If you recognise yourself in that list — and especially if you felt a little uncomfortable reading it — this course is for you. The discomfort is the identity catching up to what you already know is true.
Seven months is a long time to spin in place. Especially when you have 13 years of experience and you know you're not lazy, you know you're not unintelligent, and you know the platform works for other people. That particular brand of stuck is demoralising in a specific way — because you can't blame ignorance. You have to look at something else.
For me, that something else was the identity I was operating from. I had been building a business while calling myself a creator. Those two things are not the same. And until Kira's course named that gap clearly, I didn't have language for why nothing was converting.
I'm now coming from a completely different place. I am worthy of daily sales. I believe that. I say it out loud now. Not because it's a mantra — because it's true, and I finally stopped arguing with it.
90 days. Consistent. Small chunks. Staying in the lane. Not worried about what anyone else thinks about me selling daily. If I have something valuable — and I do — it is my obligation to share it. Full stop.
I almost quit Threads on April 21. On April 22 I took this course. The person who almost quit and the person writing this sentence are not the same person. That's what a real identity shift does.
Don't skip module one. Go to module six after. Then come back and build from the new identity. That's the sequence.
